First, let me apologize for not updating the blog recently. I'm sure you can imagine things being a little hectic these days.
Well, after a month of no therapy and visiting family and friends, we are back in Houston to start Tory's outpatient therapy. He was evaluated last week and he will continue his treatment on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Right now he is only getting his physical therapy and will hopefully start his occupational therapy in the next few weeks depending on how things move on the waiting list.
Tory has been continuing to do his exercises on his own. He's been peddling his bike with his hands and feet and working on his home exercise program that his therapists sent home with him.
As for improvements, his weak hand (right) has been gaining more movement. It still has a lot of weakness, but he is starting to get more movement in his wrists. It is so funny how we celebrate the simplest things now. This past week, Tory was able to tie his shoes on his own - THAT'S A BIG DEAL! :)
Tory's therapy was suppose to start today, but Tropical Storm Edouard caused a delay. : (
