Rylie's Allergist Appointment

Today, we took Rylie to see an allergist in New Orleans. She has been having the worst rash since she was nearly brand new and we wanted to find out how to handle it. We have been giving her all kinds of medicines and creams but nothing seems to keep it under control. My poor baby is constantly itching and sometimes can't even sleep at night because she is itching so bad.

The appointment didn't go as well as we hoped. We were hoping that we would be able to find out how to stop the rash or at least find something that would help her with the itching. No such luck. It turns out that there is no way to get rid of the rash. The doctor said she would most likely outgrow it (probably not for many years). The good news was that we were able to do some blood work to test foods that could possibly irritate it. Hopefully those results will help us keep it under control. We will find out next week.

This is a picture of what her rash looks like when she gets a bad outbreak. You can see where she bleeds from scratching.

Poor baby!!! Julie, I know how you feel. I had the same problem as a baby. My mom tells me the same story I hear from you. And it seems like my Ryleigh has a touch of it as well. If you have any questions let me know.

That stinks that you didn't get any real answers. I sure hope Rylie outgrows her rash as fast as she outgrows her clothes!
